Sometimes people need a “helper” to pee.

A urinary catheter is a thin tube that goes into the bladder to help drain urine when someone can’t do it themselves. Doctors or nurses put it in, usually through the pee hole.

The tube might stay for a few minutes, hours, days, or even longer, depending on why it’s needed.
